Event Overview
On Wednesday, June 18, 2025, we were honored to welcome faculty, students, and staff from the Department of Chemistry, Tamkang University for an official visit and exchange.
This exchange was designed to provide the faculty and students of the Department of Chemistry, Tamkang University with a close-up observation of Zongwei Industrial's leading craftsmanship in mold development and polymer material applications, fostering technology and knowledge transfer through industry-academia dialogue, and broadening students' practical perspective on the precision manufacturing industry.
The visit by Tamkang University's Chemistry faculty and students brought an invaluable academic R&D perspective to Zongwei Industrial. In the field of precision manufacturing, the chemical properties of polymer materials directly determine the yield rate of plastic injection molding. We demonstrated to the faculty and students how precise injection mold design optimizes the rheological behavior of plastics within the flow channel, translating chemical theory into high-quality mold manufacturing outcomes.
Polymer Applications and Technical Observation
During the visit, the faculty and students went deep into the production floor to understand firsthand how materials science is translated into tangible industrial products, and expressed high praise for Zongwei Industrial's quality control under stringent tolerance requirements.
For the Chemistry faculty and students, we highlighted the facility's all-electric injection molding machines, whose ultimate precision in pressure and temperature control is the key to achieving precision plastic injection molding. In addition, through observation of the 5-axis CNC machining centers applied in precision machining mold production, the attendees witnessed Zongwei's one-stop leading capability in precision mold manufacturing and high-end mold development.
