GDI has long been committed to industry-academia collaboration and the sharing of corporate expertise. On this occasion (December 19th), we were greatly honored to welcome the distinguished delegation from Tamkang University's "Global Vision Forum", led by Distinguished Professor Ho Chi-Tung and Director of Continuing Education Lin Yi-Nan, accompanied by approximately 52 business leaders and alumni from diverse industries for an in-depth plant visit and exchange.
The visit by the "Global Vision Forum" elite cohort focused on how traditional industries can drive transformation and upgrading. We shared how GDI integrates the craftsmanship of precision mold manufacturing with modern management metrics — sustaining outstanding value for global partners through high-quality injection mold design and comprehensive one-stop mold development capabilities in a rapidly evolving global market.
｜ Visit Program Highlights ｜
The visit was coordinated by GDI's Finance & Administration unit in close collaboration with all departments, offering guests a comprehensive corporate showcase and plant tour:
● Company Introduction & Vision Sharing: A multilingual presentation (Chinese, English, Japanese) held in the employee dining hall introduced GDI's corporate philosophy and core technical competencies.
● Full Plant Tour & Laboratory Visit: Guests were guided through the production floor and R&D laboratories to gain firsthand understanding of GDI's rigorous quality control standards and automated manufacturing processes.
● Technical Exchange & Sample Showcase: A diverse range of R&D achievements was exhibited on-site, with the business team providing professional explanations tailored to each guest's areas of interest.
● Industry-Academia Gift Ceremony: To commemorate the exchange, the company prepared thoughtful gifts — including a water bottle holder set and TKU 75th Anniversary commemorative items — as a token of the enduring academic friendship with Tamkang University.

During the visit, business leaders walked through production lines equipped with multiple high-efficiency all-electric injection machines and observed the fabrication of precision molds utilizing 5-axis CNC machining technology. GDI demonstrated end-to-end digital alignment from design to production, affirming our world-class capabilities in high-end mold manufacturing and precision plastic injection molding.
